Class Description
Hatha Yoga
A Class For All Levels Of Practitioners
Rooted in Classical Hatha Yoga wewill focus on yoga postures, breath work, and meditation. Expect a well-balanced mix of postures, including standing and balance poses to build strength, twists, and backbends to keep your back healthy, and seated poses to open the hips and stretch the legs. We include longer holds with specific directions so that you can work deeply in each pose. You’ll leave feeling focused, relaxed, strong, and more flexible.
Students are given instruction on proper alignment. Modifications are offered for those who need them. Students are advised to go at their own pace, and experienced practitioners are encouraged to make the practice as intense as desired. Classes end in savasana to achieve deep calmness.
While this is a wonderful practice for beginners to learn the basics, it is also a great forum for seasoned practitioners to luxuriate in stretches and turn focus inward. We emphasize breathing, posture, and exploring the internal nature of the yoga poses—how they feel, rather than how they look.
