About Alan Kuhl
Hey Yogi's!!! My name is Alan Kuhl and I feel honored and privileged to join your team at tranquility yoga! I'm really excited to begin this journey with all of you and explore different healing techniques through yoga and meditation. I received my 200hr. Yoga teacher training certification through Create Karma/House of Yoga power immersions teacher training course. With this I wanted to dig deeper into the roots of yoga and self-discovery so I can share that knowledge and experience with others like yourselves. I'm currently enrolled in a 2nd training through Create Karma for further education. We are all continuously learning and growing and I can't wait to share the vibes with all of you! I teach usually a traditional hatha vinyasa flow, I like to incorporate meditation and work in pranayama. I also enjoy crystal healing and sound bath healing using drumming/singing bowls/solfeggio frequencies. I'm open to any suggestions or styles any of you would like to present. Thank you for welcoming me to your tribe! Namaste 🙏 |

My first yoga experience came during a difficult time in my life and within a few moments of practice, I felt yoga's healing qualities. I couldn't do all the poses but what I could do felt amazing! I remember how my first yoga teacher reassured me that whatever my version of the pose looked like-it was all okay, it didn't have to look perfect and I felt a huge relief in hearing that. The breath practices made me feel connected with myself in a way I had never known. My mind stilled during my practice and in those moments- on my mat the roller coaster of life slowed down and I didn't have to have everything figured out. No analyzing or beating myself up over things in my past- just lessons in letting go. Lessons in what it really means to be in the moment. Now that I have a regular yoga practice- I miss it when I don't practice. I miss how it makes me feel and it amazes me still how a few short moments on the mat can dissolve stress and tension and leave me feeling refreshed, balanced and more focused.
In 2012, I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yama Studio of Baltimore, MD. In 2013 I completed my Silver Age Yoga Teacher Certification to serve the needs of senior populations. In teaching yoga, it is my heartfelt desire that students find and experience the same restored feeling that I felt the first time stepping on my own mat. Oh yeah -I still can't do all of the poses – and thats okay!
